USPS stands for United States Postal Service. This is a digital recognition dataset, which is obtained by automatically scanning letters by the United States Postal Service. The dataset contains a total of 9,298 16×16 pixel grayscale samples, of which the training set contains 7,291 and the dataset contains 2,007. The images are all centered, standardized, and display multiple fonts.
