LAION stands for Large-scale Artificial Intelligence Open Network, which is a large-scale AI open network.

Includes 3 datasets:

1. LAION-400M: An open dataset containing 400 million English image-text pairs, which was once the largest publicly accessible image-text dataset in the world;
2. LAION-5B: includes 5.85 billion CLIP-filtered multilingual image-text pairs, 14 times larger than LAION-400M;
3. LAION-Aesthetics: Consists of several high-definition image subsets of LAION-5B.
