aPY stands for Attribute Pascal and Yahoo. It is a coarse-grained image dataset that contains three major categories: animals, objects, and vehicles, which are subdivided into 32 small categories, such as airplanes and zebras, with a total of 15,339 images.

The dataset can be used to study zero-shot learning, which enables machine learning models to recognize target objects that they have never seen before.
