The DCM dataset consists of 772 annotated images from 27 comic books from the Golden Age. The data was collected from the Digital Comics Museum. The dataset selects one album from each available publisher to get as many different styles as possible. The dataset is annotated with ground truth bounding boxes for all panels and all characters (body + face), which are either small or large, human-like or animal-like.
