SASH-VPV Subcutaneous Palmar Vein Recognition Dataset
SASH-VPV is a near-infrared palm vein biometric benchmark dataset for biometric recognition and computer vision research. It aims to study the identity authentication of subcutaneous vein structures in the palm and is widely used in biometric system development, deep learning model training, and cross-session robustness research.
Dataset composition
- Complete dataset: Contains 2,420 hand vein images from 121 participants, covering 242 independent hand biometrics (left and right hands for each participant each as a separate category), 90 males and 31 females, all from South Asia.
- This dataset is a public subset: 240 images of hand veins from 12 participants.
