UnsolvedMath
UnsolvedMath is an unsolved mathematical problem dataset released by ULAMAI, with related paper results available at Open Mathematical Problems as an AI Reasoning Benchmark. It aims to provide systematic open-source corpora of mathematical problems for AI reasoning research, supporting studies such as math question answering, LaTeX symbol processing, problem classification and organization, educational content generation, and more.
The dataset includes 8,785 unsolved historical mathematics problems spanning 17 mathematical fields—including number theory, combinatorics, graph theory, algebra—and five difficulty levels. It integrates authoritative repositories such as the Millennium Prize Problems, Hilbert's 23 Problems, and Erdős Problems, while also providing detailed literature status audits and records assisting AI-driven research.
Questions Include:
Eleven Question Banks:
- Millennium Prize Problems
- Hilbert’s 23 Problems
- Smale’s 18 Problems for the 21st Century
- DARPA’s 23 Mathematical Challenges
- Ben Green’s 100 Open Problems
- Erdős Problems
- Kourovka Notebook New Problems
- Kirby’s Problems in Low-Dimensional Topology
- OpenGarden / Open Problem Garden
- AMR Open Problem Lists
- AIM Workshop Problem Lists
